Promoted to a copy editor’s job, assembling the Major League Baseball page, including formatting expanded box scores, game summaries, standings, briefs, the next day’s pitching probables, and ready art with taglines; all on a deadline basis. Used Quark Xpress software extensively.

Senior clerk in the sports department, responsible for the answering of phones, taking of sports stats and info, data entry, creation of box scores for print, and writing of game summaries for print on a deadline basis.

Presently as freelance, part-time in the production department. Assisted television production and direction. Worked hands-on with teleprompters, lighting, and camera equipment for in-studio and off-site location shoots.

I'm an FCC-licensed disc jockey on the college's radio station. The station has a professional, modern rock music format. Prepared and delivered sports reports and current updates on air. Interviewed players and coaches for both live and pre-recorded broadcast. Learned about various operations of broadcasting equipment. Had my own spring break radio show on air.
Cable Play-by-Play Announcer/Stat Recorder
Lakeland Community College
Kirtland, Ohio, 2001-02.
Completed 135 hours of work (3 credit hours) of internship as an on-court announcer, booth announcer, and booth color commentator on cable for their basketball games and was a stat recorder for their softball team. Operated broadcasting and scorekeeping equipment.

Also recorded and transcribed interviews with two prominent sports figures: Brigham Young University's former head football coach, Lavell Edwards, Tom Hamilton, area announcer and "Voice of the Cleveland Indians."
